The SKTll coating on Screw Products, Inc.’s coated fasteners has been designed to protect against the corrosive qualities of pressure treated lumber such as ACQ, CCA etc. This is a proprietary coating that has withstood 1200 hours of salt spray testing, thus, we have not encountered any failures to date.
The E-Coating on Screw Products, Inc.’s E-coated fasteners has been designed to protect against the corrosive qualities of pressure treated lumber such as ACQ, CCA etc. This is a proprietary coating that has withstood 1,000 hours of salt spray testing, thus, we have not encountered any failures to date.
Thus, we offer the following guarantee:
Screw Products, Inc. will replace any corroded fasteners and provide a fair means of remedy for the re-installation of defective fasteners for the life of the project.*
This guarantee, however, does not cover the following conditions:
- Improper installation of fastener resulting in the removal of the coating.
- Not countersinking the head just below flush to eliminate excess wear.
- Use of these fasteners with dissimilar metals which may accelerate corrosion (stainless steel/galvanized).
- Use of these fasteners within 1 mile of salt water contact or salt air.
