What Others Are Saying About Us:

Thank you, I enjoy doing business with you people and recommend your products to all those I work with. Ted C

I was very impressed with your "star drive" deck screws.  In the past, I have used various square drive screws with poor results.  The screws would still slip and round their heads, which is unacceptable on a finished composite deck.  The "star drive" screws never slipped and I didn't have to drill pilot holes.  Overall, I was very impressed with your product and the speed of shipping. - Brad A.

Great service- Great products. George R.

I always receive excellent, and timely service from your company

I have not used the screws yet but the product looks like it should work just fine. The web site was easy to navigate and my order arrived right on time and in great shape. I look forward to trying these screws real soon. Thank you. Rich S.

You are the only business that I have worked with that concern for the customer seems more than just words and I thank you for that. The staff I have talked to are great. Order is fast and accurate. You have made a "customer for life". I have given your screws to contractors and cabinet reps. I am a kitchen designer/sales.

YES! the order arrived on time and so far I very pleased with what I've used. As I use more of the order I'll know more about what I'll order in the future.

image of soundbenchYour website was easy to navigate and order from. Everything I ordered arrived on time and in good condition. I have installed the Deckloks and Deck 2 Wall Spacers and I very satisfied with their installation and performance. - Don W.

Since I discovered your screws some 4 years ago, I use nothing else. They are without a doubt the finest woodworking screws I have ever used. I recently made a gift of a 5# jar of exterior screws to a friend of mine that has a small business making carved wooden gates to order and she couldn't wait to call and tell me how very pleased she was with your product. Needless to say, she will be another of your satisfied customers (once she runs through the 5# of screws). - Silvio P.

The screws lived up to your advertised claims in spades! I am very pleased with their quality. Other stainless screws were constantly torquing out. I wasted considerable money on mutilated screw heads. Not one of your screws failed to drive true 1st time - no waste! - James P.

I originally ordered the starter set of outdoor screws and began using them to secure mounting blocks for crown moulding. Now I actually use the screws themselves to install the crown moulding right into the top plate of the wall. You don't realize how well these stars screws really work until you run out of them and have to use a phillips or square drive. I'll keep using them!!!! - Daniel P.

I ordered the star screws because I got tired of cam out and they sure solved the problem. Additionally they stay on the bit so I can get them down to start the screw - a great time saver. These folks are nice and very helpful - this makes them a great place to do business. - Jon L.

Hi. On Saturday, 4/29 I stopped by the Screw Products desk at the Puyallup Woodworkers Show. In a matter of a few minutes discussion with you folks, I realized that I had made a bad choice in selecting screws to sister joists in my garage. I ordered 700 CCTX0516300 Lag Screws. AS YOU PROMISED, they arrived at my doorstep today! As a test, I immediately took two of these screws and using two badly cupped, 3’ long, 2 X 12 boards, I tested the screws ability flatten the boards. It was PERFECT!!!

So…
Many thanks for the great advice!
Many thanks for the great products!
Many thanks for delivering exactly as you promised!

Best regards,
Dan.

"I have been installing kitchen cabinets for the last few years and had started out using the square drive screws that came with one of the brands of cabinets I install. I had ran down and almost out and was not going to pay the prices that they wanted. So I hit the internet. No luck with what I was looking for in the square drive. Then I found SCREW PRODUCTS INC.'s web site and order a couple to just try them out. Well I have been hooked ever since. I use every size screw from #8 - 1" to #10 - 4" for everything. I even went through an 18v Ryobi drill that couldn't keep up and had to replace it. I could not be more impressed by a product. I have homeowners looking at the installations and see these screws and they are also impressed by the speed I am able to put these kitchens together and the strength of these screws. Thanks again, A devoted customer."

I'm a bronze star junky. We travel all over to build our treehouses. Before I go anywhere I call Kelli at Screw Products, Inc and order a big box of 3"x9" bronze stars and an assortment of bronze star trim screws usually 1-5/8",2" and 3". Without fail she has my order on the jobsite before I land, wherever I go. I also keep a big box of each of those lengths in my truck. I dislike having to run around and find and gather other materials, but I enjoy, really enjoy, calling and ordering star drive screws. Kelli is so competent and super friendly. She knows her product so well. She gets it out fast. She is so kind. I feel so appreciated when I'm on the phone with her. Service beyond compare.

Bit to screw Performance.
The bit slips in very smoothly to the head of the screw. The tolerance is small and consistent. The connection of the bit to the star drive headis just so smart. The force of the twist is distributed over 6 veins that don't taper like a philips. All of the force the bit applies to the veins goes into the torque of the screw. The screw doesn't spit the bit out because there is no taper to push back against the driver. The force is distributed over a larger, smarter surface area.

Longreaching shots while dangling from a rope that I wouldn't even try with philips screws are kinda easy with stardrive screws, trim head or full head.

Smooth Clean Wood entry performance.
We use mostly cedar and fur. The screws set very cleanly. I very rarely drill pilot holes even for trim and these screws just grab and suck in and set in without any blemish. If you need to sink them deep, just sink them deep, they won't snap off. The length of the thread is well designed on the lengths I use... 3" screws pull 1-1/2" lumber together tightly. 2" and 1-5/8" screws pull 3/4" thick stuff together tightly.

Connection performance.
We use "star drive" screws for almost every phase of our treehouse building... framing, scaffolding, trim, deck fastening. I rarely use an aircompressor any more. I can hold things together better with fewer star drives than nails. Seems like I can use 1 star drive for every 2 nails.

Star drives give me better control than nails. I very often find myself fine tuning a connection when I sink the first star drive I can sink it deep and pull tight and then back it off to adjust exactly where a board sits. A second screw fixes that position permanently.

Strength and Reuse
I build quite a bit of temporary wooden work scaffolding with star drive screws. Before star drive screws I would spend time peaking at my overnailed due to paranoia super squeaky wooden scaffoldconnections and at the same time wonder how I was gonna get all those dang nails out to get those scaffolds down. These days I just throw 3 or 4 star drives per scaffold connection and dance around up there without any squeakin'. When it's time to take scaffolds down, I just unscrew everything andmy box of screws fills back up. The screws are strong and the heads don't strip. The screws are strong and heads don't strip. The screws are strong and heads don't strip.

Clean Jobsite.
I never have boards laying around with nails sticking out. If I have to pull something apart I can back the screw all the way out and reuse the board and the screw.

So nice to temp stuff up and take stuff down with no muss or fuss. I work alone quite often. Having "star drive" screws is like having an extra set of hands.

I had a 24' long curvy rail cap that I needed to glue up into one long piece. I needed 24' of clamps. I used a bunch of star drives and a bunch of scraps as clamps. Tight.

I love to tell people about "Star Drive" Screws from Screw Products, Inc.

Joel Smith, TreeHouse Workshop

Wow, What a pleasant surprise!!! I can't tell you the number of companies I have written to for suggestions and you are the only one to answer. When we moved in we took the carpeting off the floor and lo and behold beneath that terrible old carpet were these wonderful hard wood floors - that really squeek. We will purchase the fasteners and get to work.
My employees tell me that driving them is much easier on their arms and shoulders with virtually no pushing needed to keep the bit in the head of the screw. They also say that the screws back out as easy as they go in, which allows us to reuse them. They have yet to have a head twist off, strip out, or a screw break. Most contractors would agree, that not a day goes by without one of those things happening. I see this as a cost savings to McFarland Cascade. We will highly recommend your Star Drive Wood Screws to all the contractors and do-it-yourselfers. I only wish you would have come out with these years ago.

Pamm Silver - Product Promotions Coordinator, McFarland Cascade - The Outdoor Projects People
I tested them in 2 inch solid hardened mahogany (used in rail car decks). All other screws broke as soon as the screw head met the deck or they snapped off as soon as I tried to remove them. The gold star screws however, not only didn't break but they counter sunk themselves one inch below the surface and I was still able to remove them without one single breakage. At first I thought I couldn't afford the best, but in reality I can't afford to use anything but the best!
